Couples like Randall + Lenzi are why I love my job. These two can major on the majors and still do it with style and intention. Their wedding day was full of so many wonderful elements- an awesome venue that totally fits their vibe, a great playlist, old books, board games, wine (duh!), and gorgeous florals. Top that off with popcorn, bundt cakes and great friends and family, and you've got a great time.

These two wanted an intimate ceremony, so they invited their guests to wait inside while they said their vows in the courtyard at McPherson Cellars. Not only was it gorgeous outside, but so special- especially when I realized that Shawn and I were essentially the only other people there, with the exception of the judge (who is the father of one of Randall's childhood friends), and sweet Estelle, Randall's daughter. I could photograph that little girl all. day. long. She's precious.

Thank you both for trusting us with your wedding day images- we loved capturing your new beginning!

We sat down for a short break at the reception to grab a bite to eat and started talking with a couple who was also seated at our table. "So how do you know Amy and Omar?", I asked. "Well, actually," the man said, "we just met them. They were in Fort Worth looking for a wedding band and we met them at a concert. We ended up hanging out with them the whole night and they invited us to the wedding! So this is really only our second time seeing them", he said with a laugh.

How great is that?!? And it really is a testament to the fun-loving nature that Omar and Amy have. These two are happy together, and they make the people around them happy, too.

Shawn and I had a great time photographing their wedding day in Snyder, TX. So many special details perfectly coordinated by Jill Leven- from the Mariachi band, to a really cool flip book booth, gorgeous florals by The Fig & Flower and of course, a great band. Here are some of my favorites from the day!

Russell and Jaclyn met me at 9 am to shoot their engagement session one Saturday morning, and I am so thankful they did! We had some gorgeous weather and I totally enjoyed talking with them. It was a great reminder that God really orchestrates things in a way that we'd never be able to do. Marriage is such a gift. Finding each other is a gift. I'm so glad I get to photograph these two as they go from one step to the next. Thanks so much for an awesome shoot!

Ok. I can't start this post without saying I feel a little old. I first met Belinda 5 years ago when I photographed her senior portraits. She was a fun, easygoing girl who was beautiful and self-confident and excited about the future. Fast-forward to today, and she's getting married! Even more gorgeous, it was so great to hear what the past few years have held for her and get excited about her future hubby, Buddy. These two were great to photograph, and we were able to incorporate a few of the things they love (besides each other, that is). :)

Shooting Josh + Abby's Engagement Session was a wonderful reminder of why I LOVE what I do. This couple reminded me that things don't happen by accident, and that God is very intentional and is the best writer of love stories- and I get to document those stories! These two are getting married next summer- and I can't wait for their big day!
